Never thought I would want to own a predominantly black dog, as they are much more difficult to photograph.  But, my little Kizzy came along and here I am!

I’m enjoying playing with my newest purchase - a boom arm, which allows me to put the light up over top of my subjects.

Something a little racier than my normal shots…

I picked up a used Lensbaby lens off of Craigslist and have been experimenting a little with it.  Fun, but challenging!

Also, a few shots from a couple of weeks ago, enjoying an early morning sunrise…

I love fog. It has an element of suspense to it. The world turns almost monochromatic. Beautiful in a simple way.

Fog

Winter took hold of Iowa early and hard this year. We’re having a brief reprieve, although our mini heat wave is causing some flooding. The warmer temps have also brought more ice than snow.

I have been busy and having a great time photographing various friends and their families.
